These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Athar mobile application ("Athar", "we", "our", or "us"), operated by Babil IT.
By downloading, installing, or using Athar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1. Description of the Service
Athar is a spiritually focused mobile application that provides:
- Prayer times and related scheduling
- Qur'anic content (verses, chapters, audio)
- Optional reflections and reading features
- Widgets and notifications
Certain Qur'anic content and services may be provided through third-party APIs, including Quran.Foundation.
Athar does not replace scholarly guidance and is intended for informational and spiritual support purposes only.
2. License
Athar grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
- Reverse engineer or decompile the application
- Scrape or extract content in bulk
- Use the service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to interfere with application functionality
3. Content Sources
Qur'anic content, translations, tafsir, and audio may be sourced from authorized third-party providers.
Athar does not claim ownership over Qur'anic text or licensed translations. All intellectual property rights remain with their respective owners.
4. User Accounts (If Enabled)
If Athar enables account-based features (e.g., bookmarks, reading history):
- You are responsible for maintaining account confidentiality
- You must provide accurate information
- You may not impersonate others
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. User-Generated Content (If Enabled)
If reflections, notes, or comments are enabled:
- You retain ownership of your content
- You grant Athar a non-exclusive license to store and display it
- You must not post unlawful, abusive, or inappropriate material
Athar maintains a zero-tolerance policy for abusive or harmful content.
6. No Warranty
Athar is provided "as is" and "as available."
We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted service
- Error-free content
- Absolute accuracy of prayer calculations
- Compatibility with all devices
Use of the app is at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Babil IT shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Loss of data
- Device malfunction
- Reliance on prayer times or content inaccuracies
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Athar at any time if you violate these Terms.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of Athar after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by applicable international laws and regulations without reference to conflict-of-law principles.
